Solid A big chunk of solid stainless steel beautifully fitted and finished at the price charged for plated brass by the advertised brands same highend valve. The plated finish equivalent brushed nickel will not hold up to kitchen faucet use.Documentation is poor. If selfinstalling do remove the spray head before thoroughly purging the water supply. Any particulate will clog the little plastic prefilter at the upstream end of the spray head. The prefilter can be disassembled to clear the particles though it doesn't look like it.
